I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
